6A rejoices!  Ya'll can make fun of Maryville fans all you want, and yes, we're very sad he's leaving, but very proud of him.

 

What's really funny is the celebrations going on because GQ owns every other program in the state.

Is the dynasty over? Gaylor, now Quarles....Will Ellis be next? He's getting up there.

I've only been around the program for a short while, now, but I don't think there will be anything other than respect for what GQ has done with that program.  He's certainly made it among the best 2-3 jobs in the state.  Whoever comes in next will have both talent and resources to work with.  

 

Maryville has a great staff.  If they choose to stay in house, there are good candidates on that staff. 

 

There are also some coaches with Maryville ties who have had a lot of success elsewhere, should they choose to go that route.
