4.7 or mid 4.6 is probably a lot more reasonable for sure.  4.5 are far and few between. I can only think of 2-3 in that range the past 50 years at SP.

I've read qb/rb for Greenfield ran a legit 4.3 2 different times on the laser at camps. That's NFL fast if true!

Davis at TCA runs a 4.35 also he is fastest person in the state in the 100 meters

I had heard that Elijah Howard with Webb-Knox was the fastest so I looked it up on the TSSAA site and it turns out for 2017 anyhow the fastest boy was Michael Scruggs at Riverdale with 10.97 second 100 meter.  Kevin Davis placed 7th in A-AA class with a 11.49 second 100 meter.  Elijah Howard turned in a 11.22 second run at the state championship.

I know it's not always an individual's best time at state as it depends on the environment, the weather, etc.

I have seen Elijah in person and that guy is as fast as any that I have seen.  He had a 10.79 second at the KIL championship and that is closing in on a state record and that was his freshman year.  He reminds me of Willie Lundy who I played against in the mid 80's and he ran 10.5 second 100 meter.

2018 TSSAA state track and field has Kevin Davis from TCA at 10.65 and 1st place.  That is in the boys 100 meter dash Div. 1 small.  It says the state record is 10.33 set in 1985 by Larry Cantrell of Goodlettsville.

100 meters is right at 110 yrds.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
    • Lieutenant Flip flops is on a roll. #1 recruiter in Anderson Co, fo-sho.
