I’m just hoping this game will be a lil louder... that last game between us was the quietest game I’ve ever watched. Hoping for a injury free game. Gonna be a good night for football!!!!!

Well the Nut Punchers from Morgan County roll into Cooper Field tonight with hopes of knocking off the Mighty Cherokees. I just hope they don't try and knock other things off this year. We cant afford to have anyone suspended  next week for standing up for their manhood. #34 is back, and is a fine runner he informed us last game that he has scored 9 touchdowns against the Mighty Fighting Cherokees over his career. That's pretty impressive in my opinion, let's hope he doesn't add to many more tonight. I am looking forward to seeing #22 put on a running clinic tonight and continue to get his groove back.  The Air Raid gets dialed in this week as well in preparation for what is to come in the next week or weeks. I am sure that Coach Henry and his brother will be there with cold legs and a fresh game plan after the absolute beating they took last time. Who knows maybe the Henry boys will wear britches this time and try to mix it up a little. Cant hurt to try something new .

That's right Bailey didn't even get to play in the semis  last year did he?

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
