I expected Oakland to be able to win this time around, but that outcome was more than anyone could’ve imagined. Unbelievable performance by the Patriots!!

As always, Maryville fans are completely classy, even with the dominating (and extremely RARE for the Rebels) way that this game played out. You guys aren’t just the measuring stick on the field. Much respect for giving the Patriots their ‘tip of the cap’. Hopefully, we can see you guys many more times in the future. You guys will he loaded for bear next season!

He's good for balancing out the Kreager curse. Don't honestly think he's ever picked Oakland to win a game

Congrats to Oakland , it definitely wasn't Maryville's night ... thanks to a very smothering , fired up Defense of Oakland's ! Congrats to Whitehaven too , and good Luck to both teams next week , and hopefully we can do this all again next year ! I look forward to watching all the Championship games . I'd like to thank the Maryville Rebels for once again giving us another great season to watch . We may not win every year but we always know we're gonna be in the "  Hunt " ! I know you seniors are hurting right now but I hope it helps you guys just knowing that you've got a whole Army of the Red Rebels Nation that Love and Respect you guys and know just how much hard work went into your time as a Maryville Rebel !!

      A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.

      For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
