Greenback picked up a good kid and all of the Maryville fans will be pulling for him and hopes he does well. The young man has been in some big games for us including the win over Oakland last year. I'm sure he'll get more playing time at Greenback then he bargained for and who knows , he may see action on both sides of the ball.

That Chief had the chance to go to the Top of HS Football last off-season and held his ground. He’s got a honey hole and needs to stay there and break Grider’s record.

He has got a good thing going for sure! When these type of athletes want to come play for you that says it all.Yes he has had ample opportunities and has held strong to his alma mater.

None, the only reason you would go to Loudon is to play soccer. No one transfers there to play football. They do have around 750 students in high school vs our 200 and cant beat us in anything that we play them in.

That's kinda harsh lol but kinda my point. Because of this scenario you will always field good teams and not depend on the luck of the draw like most teams. Your very fortunate.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
