Attended the Westview vs Union City scrimmage tonight. Westview is going to score a lot of points this season. Threw it all over the field. I didn't know the Charger QB was that fast. Kid can move. Westview looks to be improved this season.

I wish we could get a shot at Westview in a scrimmage. I would like HC to go against a QB of his caliber. I look for Martin to get better over the next 3 years.

Tornado's didn't seem as strong as past teams. Team speed wasn't great, had a hard time keeping up with Westview's receivers. #43 is a tough nosed RB but not real big. Looked like a work in progress to me. But then Westview is going to make a lot of defenses look bad!

Good to hear. I knew we had a lot of athletic kids on this team. Defense is the side of the ball I am most concerned about. If we can be salty on D and let the playmakers do what they do on offense we could be a pretty good team.

The QB is going to take yall a long long ways. Several good looking players on Milan! The defense was decent but the offense was the most impressive part. That QB threw some long balls and hit them right on the money.

He is a junior. Several very talented kids in the junior class. Next year should be even better.

Sounds like a recipe for making UC look worse than they will really be... remember what Mayfield did to them with that type offense early? If you do, I'm sure that you remember that UC bounced back pretty well. Tough to practice your defense against the type offense that the Tornadoes run, then play against an aerial attack of that caliber in the first look at a team other than your own.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
