Unbelievable. Well maybe that was the tight game Peabody needed to focus on the rest of the way to the Gold Ball. Hats off to Fairley. I really never meant any offense to them I just believed Peabody was that good. Didn't see anybody pushing them tight much less to overtime and sounds like should have won.

You used to have to be under center to spike the ball. Not sure if it’s still the rule but if they took the snap from the gun that may be why.

You can not spike the ball from shotgun

Yea that call bothered me. It didn't make any sense. I thought maybe they were lined up wrong  at first but thats what they called. And can someone explain why didn't Fairley get an untimed down at the end of regulation. Or how a regulation penalty was assessed in OT.

Not just that... their coaches failed them big time. Who passes the ball in that situation? Mr. Football candidate in the backfield and you throw an interception with the game in hand with one first down. Probably didn't even need the first down if you run three times and punt.

I just had someone explain to me that in high school ball you can't spike the ball out of the shotgun without it being intentional grounding.... kind of a stupid rule if you ask me...

In the gun, it used to be intentional grounding and was called on us this season

Yea.... and then you run a reverse pass on two point conversion.... I agree.... I thought Fairley's coaches were doing an outstanding job up until the 4th quarter...
