The simplest colds and viruses are gonna kill more due to a lack of resistance because of staying in and wearing masks....Heck people getting fungal infections from wearing masks all the time! And NO I don't wear a mask either.

Coby was just telling me that he's seeing people wearing masks with lil holes cut in the mouth and nose so they can breathe easier! Can you now see how screwed up this situation is?

I would about bet every dollar I have that I (and many many others I know) had this virus in December. Sick as a dog let me tell you!!  A lot of us went to Dr and didn't have flu or strep....It was call an upper respiratory infection. Sound familiar??

Now we're hearing this virus was here a year ago! And yes it's about money and I TRULY believe the money is in the vaccine! Spread the virus, provide the vaccine and make a billion! Don't believe me? Just ask Dr Falsy and vaccine champion Bill Gates! They have more than one vaccine patent here and Europe. Follow the money

Same here. Sick as a dog. Went to the doctor, negative for flu and strep. Was told it was a virus that would have to run it's course.

Wear a mask.   Save a life.

When we combined the results of these trials that studied the effect of masks versus no masks in health-care workers and the general population, they did not show that wearing masks leads to any substantial reduction of influenza-like illness. However, the studies were too small to rule out a minor effect for masks.

This article is a preprint and has not been peer-reviewed [what does it mean?].  It reports new medical research that has yet to be evaluated and so should not be used to guide clinical practice.

Readers should therefore be aware that articles on medRxiv have not been finalized by authors, might contain errors, and report information that has not yet been accepted or endorsed in any way by the scientific or medical community.

We also urge journalists and other individuals who report on medical research to the general public to consider this when discussing work that appears on medRxiv preprints and emphasize it has yet to be evaluated by the medical community and the information presented may be erroneous.

Wear a mask Orngnblk.   The CDC recommends it.  It is now becoming fashionable.  You'll look good while protecting others.  :-)

CDC continues to study the spread and effects of the novel coronavirus across the United States.  We now know from recent studies that a significant portion of individuals with coronavirus lack symptoms (“asymptomatic”) and that even those who eventually develop symptoms (“pre-symptomatic”) can transmit the virus to others before showing symptoms.  This means that the virus can spread between people interacting in close proximity—for example, speaking, coughing, or sneezing—even if those people are not exhibiting symptoms.  In light of this new evidence, CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

@uknoit2

Make yall some Bulldog bandana face masks.  Pass them out through the Hampton community.  Or better yet sell them via the quarterback club and make a few $ for the team.   I can see the dog pound now barking ferociously and intimidating the opposing team and fans.

If ya look good you feel good.  And if you feel good you play good.  And if you play good ....

With or without a virus, I like the idea! But not sure if football will be something we see played this year

Die from the virus or die from inhaling the carbon dioxide that you are exhaling into your mask. I read where people are wearing their masks in their cars and literally passing out and crashing.

Now that I think about it, I guess it is lowering each individuals "carbon footprint".

There is currently no evidence that wearing a mask (whether medical or other types) by healthy persons in the wider community setting, including universal community masking, can prevent them from infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID-19.

Yes, I've seen tag lines to articles like this before

There are people becoming ill due to wearing masks continually.    The fact doesn't need peer-reviewed if it's.....A fact!

With the 10,000 different "peer-reviewed" stories we've gotten from these sheltered, sophomanic, "experts", I'll take the words of reliable people (like my 25-yr RN wife) that's actually been in the trenches when things like this come along.
