Good read fellas, but all of you are biased toward your team and give no real analysis.

Watched all A games last year and all of today’s games and here is an unbiased look at it.  GC benefited from a brawl last year between Loretto/Greenfield. I think all can agree on that. They earned it but the draw helped them tremendously. GC is no where near as good this year and the other 2 are better than last year.

If Greenfield or Loretto played GC 10x this year, GC would lose all 10.

If Loretto and Greenfield played 10x this year (5 home games each) they would each win 5.

Which makes the tournament suspension even more frustrating. The draw was perfect and it was setup to be an epic game that literally no one knows who would have won. Not even MrMiyagi could predict this winner.

Wrong my friend about GC.  You know nothing about our team....so quit embarrassing yourself.

Gentlemen you can add Clarkrange to this conversation. Neither of these two teams could travel to Clarkrange and win. Just like I don’t see Clarkrange traveling there and winning. Now on a different note you can go ahead and hand Clarkrange the gold ball next year.  All their players are underclassmen.

I don't often agree with UCSportsfan, but when I do, it is because he is absolutely correct.  Clarkrange, Loretto and Greenfield were in a different tier all together than the rest of the field this year.  Any of the three could have won the gold ball this year, although I believe Greenfield most likely would have won.  If the tournament is played next year, Clarkrange will absolutely be the odds on favorites to win.

Agreed. I remember those Bradford/Clarkrange games from years past. Clarkrange has always been in the mix. What type of feeder system do they have as far Elementary and Middle School?

Six out of eight teams in state were in Coacht top 8. Huntingdon was ninth. Pretty accurate.

Summertown and Union City both were really good teams and could have made a deep run in Murfreesboro. Both have to learn how to handle presses better. Summertown was up 9 in forth quarter against Huntingdon and got out of rhythm when Huntingdon pressed. Wilkins done a great job with Huntingdon and they overachieved this year. They didn’t handle the ball great and that got them against Clarkrange.

Proposal to TSSAA -

Class A Championship - Since Greenfield has already beaten Loretto and Gibson County, the championship will be between Greenfield and Clark Range on a neutral court agreed upon by both teams. The date will be confirmed next week.  Sounds good to me.

Don’t work like that brother!! Good try though!!

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
