Meanwhile, Nashville is saying hospitalizations are up and other counties are going into panic mode.

This is the most ridiculous situation I have ever seen.  Everybody wants to open up yet nobody wants to open up.

Hospitals all over the nation are making a ton of money off this virus. If you go in and you have insurance you're going to stay for awhile. No insurance and they'll send you home and tell you to stay away from other people for two weeks. A nurse from Florida went undercover with a hidden camera in a hospital in New York City. She has proof they were putting patients on ventilators that didn't even have covid-19. A lot of those people died. Seems the hospitals are getting 30 thousand dollars for every person that goes on a ventilator.

Or have a protest/riot alongside the games...then we are good.

All you football fans and parents better get your protest signs out. I have lost my girls senior year and state tournament in basketball. Get the posters out. I will join you at the governors doorstep.

Then why does this order not affect college and pro sports?  “They cannot let it get keep getting worse”.   Makes no sense.

I knew high school sports (at least football anyways) wasn't gonna happen this fall. You can't make students and parents jump through hoops to get their kids back in school but tell them its completely fine for everybody to go to a football game on Friday night. Because athletic events are an extension of the schools.

In a time where kids in certain areas are doing drive-thru graduations or only allowed to have parents at their graduations then high school football was never gonna happen.

In a time where kids are seated 6-feet apart in a classroom and have to wear masks in the hallways then high school football was never gonna happen.

In a time where only one student at a time was gonna be allowed in the bathrooms then high school football was never gonna happen.

There is zero proof that the asymptomatic can transfer this...zero! It was a bad media-driven narrative early on that completely got a lot of the fear and panic going strong. It’s also not been proven that the virus can remain on surfaces more than a minute or so...another misnomer portrayed early on. So much misinformation that has so many people running scared! Will all you naysayers be man enough to take back your negative pessimistic opinions of football season once we are kicking it off?

Getting close for you having to man up.

That's excellent points. We just had graduation and Senior parents was only allowed to have 4 family members. But we was going to start football on time. No way, let’s hope the jr class will be able to have it next fall.

Doom and Gloom! Some of y’all are bought in hook, line, and sinker. And it’s still June!! Unbelievable. No patience, no positivity, no logic or common sense. I’m assuming all of you are for shutting everything down again?!

I told you I am not for it. It is just how leaders tend to lead, very cautious and thinking of everyone and every POSSIBILITY.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
