Now that everyone’s hurt feelings are scattered about the last few pages of this thread I thought I’d remind everyone that this was an incredible game between two really great teams that unfortunately someone had to lose. Really wish Covid weren’t around and we could’ve packed that stadium elbow to elbow and  5 deep all the way around the fence.

I agree with you. Man it was a good game just like the 2019 game. I enjoyed watching it from my recliner. I mean I wish SP would have won, but I expect both teams to make deep runs.

Great post. Like I said if one team had beaten the other by 35 points then there might be some different feelings, but we SP took a good whipping and will learn from it. I know that it had to make Meigs better also. In the end no one got hurt and we're still all good friends and hope for better thing's in the end for both team's. If crazy covid had not been here it probably would have broken a record at your stadium.

It was a hard played game.  I hope Meigs and SP play the next 2 years as well.

I am kind of glad we had limited attendance for this one. I hear that stadium gets downright rowdy!

 

But yes, it was a great game and as someone said, I'm glad no one got hurt. We'll both get better because of this one and we learned a lot about where we are and where we need to be.

Good idea! This could become a new rivalry. Top area programs. Kinda like McCallie vs Baylor.  I’m hearing the SP Coach is leaving so no telling what might happen with SP. Anyone?
