Yes they would be in 7A. It will be interesting to see what Peabody does. If they play down then they will take a big hit in the money department. Gates of Gleason, Greenfield, So. Fulton and other small schools vs the gates they get now. They would only be able to schedule 2 non region games. It would be tough to make that money up. Peabody would not have very much competition in 1A from either side of Tennessee. Not even the mighty Pirates could fair very well against the tide. It would take most 1A programs 3 to 4 years to be able to compete with them.

There no gate money in who we are playing now. The only big gates are Milan and gibson county. We are scheduling Memphis teams and paying them to play us because we couldn’t get the schedule we wanted. So I see no difference in money

That is true but in 2A Peabody does get the gate for games against their region teams. I know Union City, Adamsville, McKenzie all have good crowds. Alot better than most 1A schools. Plus there would be virtually no competition in 1A for Trenton. If they want to win the 1A title for the next two years playing nobody then by all means 1A is their ticket but if they want to be challenged then 2A will do that alot better. To me if Peabody plays in 1A then great. Lake County never runs from anyone and in the long run it will make LC better. I have seen in my time teams that come from 2A to 1A has 4 or 5 real dominate years and then for some reason their programs start to fall off. Then when they go back to a higher classification they struggle. It might be the lack of competition week in and week out that causes it. In 1A a dominant team might have 1 or 2 close games a year. In a higher classification those odds change.

Y’all don’t want none of South Pittsburgh B)

So. Pitt will not want any of them. I really don't think people understand how Peabody would run rough shot over 1A for at least the next 2 years. I know it will eventually make 1A teams up there games and Peabody will slide back to the pack but that would take 2 to 4 years. Hey you got to play who the TSSAA puts in front of you.

I never said anything about lake county being scared.  Union city and adamsville crowd has dropped off. We were in 1a 2015 and 2016 and didn’t win a championship. You never know greenback and south Pitt might bring in new recruits just for Peabody :roflolk:

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
