This is my first post. I have a Sophomore playing O line with Coalfield. I have been tracking South Pitt for most of the year. They are fast, coached, and fundamentally strong. This Coalfield team knows what they are up against and respect this Fridays game. From the start this Coalfield team has heard (Its a building year). If lucky maybe 5-4. Now the end of the year (Paper Champions)-Please keep fueling the fire. I promise this team will give everything they have until the last second. Win/Lose 97 percent of this Coalfield team will return next year. South Pitt has had a much deserved successful season. So has Coalfield. Of course I want to win, but my son and I would cheer South Pitt on at State if they win. Its what the East does. 2014 Greenback/Coalfield. Coalfield wins 3rd round and makes it to state. Greenback was their cheering Coalfield. I was at the game my oldest played in that game for Coalfield. Small town teams gain respect for the seasons played by all teams.

You haven't heard anyone of the Pirates call you guys paper champions.  That was Greenback and I poked them over that one after the got eliminated.  However, your guys should get on the radio etc. more talking about running the ball down SP's throat.

BTW, is that Henry man bringing his dog to the game?  Asking for a friend.

    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
    • 7 Pages of complaining because the lacrosse team put removable lines on the field so that they could practice/play lacrosse  Y'all boys are bored huh lol
