Same as last year. With contact tracing a whole team can be wiped out quick.

Little different tan last I think.  7 day quarantine, thanks to our wonderful Governor, the kids don't have the option of doing virtual.  They need to change the rules and maybe test the team on Thursday and let the negative ones play imo.

Our boys will only be able to practice one day before having to play that Payne man for a region game next Friday.  Jailhouse high had three days last year and still wouldnt play Grider.  Im not joking either.

I want to be positive, but also I live in a real world with chaos and fears of the unknown. I just don't see football season finishing this year or even the school year. This variant has hit the kids mostly where it didn't as much last year. And next year there will be a different variant, just wait and see. Like I heard on the radio the other day, soon it will be a shot of the month club for all these variants. I guess it's something we have to get use to, unless a miracle happens. And I do believe in miracles.

It finished last year no reason it won’t this year

Was really looking forward to attending this one. I thought SP would win by 10-14.

It would have been a very good game for everyone involved.  I expected it to be like the last two Meigs' matchups.   The competition and atmosphere of these type games helps a team to grow.  I'm anxious to see if SP can get another game scheduled for Oct 1

Last year most if not all our team went virtual and wasn't in the school building and around less people. This year that isn't an option ( I wish it still was) and a point sportsman pointed out is that last year not many kids were getting the virus but this year it seems they are catching it a lot more.  I do however hope the season finishes but I don't have high hopes for it.

I too am anxious to see if Jones will get another on the schedule. I was looking forward to CCS. I think it may have been the best game on the schedule as for a down to the wire ballgame

Roy, I sat behind their star receiver last week at that Finley man’s stadium and he said SP was easy money. Also, the only player sp has that could play for them was terminator (Reggie Hunter).

Pirates will be tested in a HUGE way.

Watching CCS play right now. If we're easy money then we must be really bad. I'm not saying we would beat them, not saying they beat us. But if it would be easy for them then we might as well take a covid break for the rest of the year.

Agree, defensively they are not very good.

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
