can’t count Dyer out sir ! That kid toting the rock for them is special ! I think adrenaline will play a part in this as well in all honesty I think DC by 7 !!

This game will come down to which defense steps up. Both teams have multiple weapons offensively but both have huge question marks defensively. I believe there will be a lot of plays being made from both teams and yes adrenaline will play a huge part, so which D can step up and get a few key stops to get off the field will be important. Dyersburg's defense was awful last year, so if has not improved it will be a long night for them. DC will run a lot out of the spread and like to spread the ball around. On the flip side, it will be key for DC to get off to a good start. If they get in a hole against Stowe he will eat the clock up. Dyersburg is one of those teams that is hard to dig out of a hole against if that Wing T is clicking. Will simply run the clock out.

Move Westview up a couple spots. I don’t care if they lost. You go into a 3 peat champion house and you battle with them until the very end and prove people wrong who said it’d be a blowout. Yes Westview deserves to be higher on the list. Play a team like Peabody play and lose a close game you’re gonna be a much tougher team

Just for us West TN guys to have some discussion. I think it would be something fun to do week to week as we see the results of games. I will post my perceived Top 12 and we can talk about it.
1. Haywood (Beat Cordova 55-0)

2. Peabody (Beat Westview 31-29)

3. Henry Co. (Lost to Beech 17-7)

4. Hardin Co  (Beat Adamsville 49-0)

5. Dyersburg (Beat Dyer Co 53-7)

6. Milan (Manasass cancelled game)

7. Covington (beat North Side 48-20)

8. USJ (beat Union City 35-7)

9. McKenzie ( Beat Cheater Co 36-0)

10. South Gibson (BYE)

11. Westview (Lost 31-29 to Peabody)

12. Union City (lost 35-7 to USJ)

Just on the outside looking in: Dyer Co, Lexington, Huntingdung, Lake Co., Adamsville and Riverside

i personally think someone could make a case for any of the top 3 being number 1. It’s razor thin I think. I also think 4-9 are very good teams and will move up or down week in and out. Hopefully Covid stays away and allows all these teams to play to their potential. Let’s hear everyone’s thoughts?

Updated results on what happened to the top 12 this past Friday. New to top 12 to come in a bit.

Since I put together Moore and Massey predictions for the rural West earlier in the week, I thought I would show the results.  I threw out the South Fulton-Ballard Co. KY score since there was no PR for Ballard.  I did the same for Middleton and Thrasher MS.  I'm not even sure Middleton and Thrasher played.

Moore:

South Fulton (81) at Ballard County, KY (?), South Fulton wins by 14
Hardin Co. (130) at Adamsville (99+2)  Hardin Co. by 29, Hardin Co. wins by 49
Liberty Magnet (88) at Bolivar Central (80+2)  Liberty by 6, cancelled
Northpoint Christian (97) at Brighton (116+2)  Brighton by 21, Brighton by 5
Obion Co. (103) at Camden (87+2)  Obion by 14, cancelled
McKenzie (121) at Chester Co. (88+2)  McKenzie by 31, McKenzie wins by 36

*Massey predicted the winner in 14 out of 21 games for a winning percentage of 67%.

Sidenotes:

Both statistians were all over the board on point spreads.  But skimming over the stats, I think Moore was a little more accurate.  However, Massey was spot on with Henry Co. and Beech.  He predicted Beech would win by 10 and they did. (17-7)

Both Moore and Massey predicted that Brighton would defeat Northpoint Christian by about 3 TD's.  Brighton ended up winning by 5, but what's up with that 74-69 score?  It certainly wasn't defense!

Here's my take on the Manassas-Milan deal.  Manassas saw that 68 point spread (Moore's power ratings) and decided they didn't want any part of that.  Lol
