Watching Oakland and Maryville play each other since 2014. Last year Oakland had their best offense ever. One thing that has been constant is Oakland plays great defense.  They always have tremendous speed on defense.  If you get a hole it closes quickly.

Being here in the metro we know how things work. When kids leave a metro private we know why and how they get to certain high schools and colleges.

So I googled Buck yesterday.  Some of you old timers here I'm sure would know but is Buck legit?  Just looking at his website it looks pretty much 3rd rate.  Really couldn't find much info on Buck himself other than he played for the Vols for a few years.  

 

I wasn't sure if people respected him or if he was just a long running joke.  Just based on his website i'm gonna go with running joke.

I don't know anything about Buck.  I am simply asking a question to try and figure out who this person is.  Virtually nothing can be found online regarding his qualifications or past.  Yes I saw the link above.  The website runs slow and to me doesn't look very "professional".  Was he a great player at UT?  I can find tons of info on a Buck Fitzgerald that was a football coach here in TN for 35+ years but I'm thinking this isn't the same person. 

I suppose it really doesn't matter, it's just that I see him referenced here on the board on a fairly  regular basis and wasn't sure what the deal is.

I know of Maurice Fitzgerald who coached for 35+ years here in the metro. 

If you think website speeds and looks etc. as MichaelMyers76 said "steer" players to certain high schools and colleges then, I don't think I can help you.

So yes, I would assume he has lots of connections in the football world.  Don't know how long he has had this business but hope he does well with it.  I was just trying to find out who he was and what kind of credentials he has.  Sounds legit.
