Best player on Best Team? I'm asking because some of the winners don't have the blow me out the water stats. Congratulations to the kids I would never talk about a kid but really what is the qualifications ? about the same qualifications that voted someone other than Jamal Stewart at East as Metro football coach of the year.

Congratulations to the kids I would never talk about a kid but really what is the qualifications ? Since you had to ask, you probably won’t understand. I’ll try anyway. Take Buckles numbers and multiply them by, let’s say, 3. That should give you about what you are looking for…. His numbers come from approximately 20 quarters of 40. (Sorry not including playoffs) 3 may be a bit high, but I’m taking into consideration that Rankin normally calls the dogs off at 42 points… He was also the best player on the best team… Edited December 8, 2021 by Throwdeslant

The most impressive stat that throws the popularity contest out the window is his play in the biggest game stage.....the Championship Games. In two Championship Game appearances Caden Buckles was voted MPV two years in a roll. This based on game stats and play. He was clearly the best player on the field for those games.

REBELRON
I still can't believe the Catholic coach started Kaden Martin in front of Caden Buckles. I saw how good he was when Maryville scrimmaged Catholic 2 years ago.

Congratulations to the kids I would never talk about a kid but really what is the qualifications ? Sportswriters from across the state submit the original group. There is a panel of coaches, oficials, etc., that pull it down to five. Then a special, "select" group of writers vote for the final three. Please note: Statistics are considered ONLY from the regular season. By the end of Week Eleven, the first cut is already being done.
