Jason Hunt leaves Peabody's team

Did anyone post the  reason why Jason Hunt left Peabody just before the region finals?  That would be a tough blow for his coach and teammates. High school sports are  becoming just like AAU.

Did he leave or get kicked off?I'd believe the latter.

His posted on social media that morning he was not playing any more basketball.

A college coach would have to look at a player hard that transferred from a rival school and then stopped playing on the day of the region final.

It’s strangest thing I’ve seen.  Like to know the whole story.  I’ve been told his dad had posted some crazy stuff on FB

I saw the Facebook posts, and dad and family are so over themselves. However, let me get this straight. According to the Facebook posts that his dad sent out, he scored over 900 points this season... and he wasn't a finalists for Mr. Basketball?

But he's a senior, right? Because I saw a picture of an action shot and he has one of those senior banners that school sent out. Jason has a banner. So if he's a senior, why is prep school an option?

If he's a senior and has offers from the following: Alabama A&M, Tennessee State, and Arkansas-Little Rock, but Florida State, Kansas State, and Georgia Tech has contacted him, then something is funny. Honestly, I never heard of this kid, but apparently he could be playing in the ACC or in the SWAC/Ohio Valley. That's a huge disparity to the point where something is scratching my head. Meanwhile, people care about themselves more than what we think. 

Again, I never heard of this kid before. Was he one of those transfers that came in?

My understanding is that he transferred from Humboldt this year.  Didn’t put up more than average #’s there.  Put up big stats at TP before football players came to basketball    I believe Mr Basketball is also based on your whole high school career not just part of a season   I only saw him play 1 game and didn’t see D1 ability that night 

Still doesn’t explain why he would quit like this

I didn't see D1 ability either.He scored a lot cause if Trentons defense and other players.I don't see a great shot from way out.

A lot of that was against teams not very good and from turnovers for layups from teams couldn't handle Trentons pressure

To make it even crazier….. I heard that they made state he is playing now lol. If I am the coach you couldn’t play for me. It’s just hear say as of now.

He has his issues, but the boy can shoot from anywhere on the court.

This is something we can both agree on @HawkGuy06!  No player should be bigger than the program and no way i would let someone back on the team that quit before the region championship game to focus on College ball.  If true, then Peabody's coach doesn't have a back bone
