Don't see this being much of a game other than going to see old friends. Surprised it being on a Thursday Night but it does allow for anyone to find a good game to attend on Friday. I wouldn't mind going to a place I've never been to before just for the experience to say I finally been there. Anyone know if Sunburnt or Jelly Roll are playing at home this week. I have been to Wartfrog before.

Heritage was unable to build off of the momentum Deck provided as Alcoa made the stop on fourth down, but Osovet went into the contest playing things close to the vest offensively as its season opener against Maryville looms. “We weren’t going to show anybody what we’re going to come out and do next Thursday,” Osovet said. “I mean, this is a 12-minutes deal with 15 snaps. I’m not going to go out and give people some fodder and how we’re going to operate within our system.”

I officially classify this as fodder! - R.R.

I couldn't believe this when I read it.

I can’t believe no one as posted about the language that was used by the Heritage HC. He cussed more than a drunken sailor Friday night.

It will be interesting see how much and how long (this season) the Blount County referees put up with it when it's aimed at them.

    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
