Congrats to both great teams on an outstanding season.  So glad my Pirates brought home another gold ball It’s been a tough season not being able to come to the last half of seasons games with my injury but thanks to all my coach t buddies for keeping me up lifted and for the pirate radio crew for helping me to feel like I was at the games. Sure loved watching our men take home the championship on tv.  Looking forward to getting well and be at the games next year.

Without a doubt. Always loved it on Friday afternoons before a big game, he would make the end of the day announcements early and then say "It looks like the clocks are running slow this afternoon. By my watch, it appears it's time to go." Then he would ring the bell 15 minutes early.

And for those that want to bump their gums about us not being deserving of being there.  Where was your team sitting yesterday?  I read most of these post and will comment on those posts that are in good spirit or positive about either team.  I will not get into a pissing match with some clown that hides behind a keyboard who continues to try to belittle the accomplishments of kids or programs.  That is nonsense and not worth our time.

It was good to see you again and to meet your broadcast partner. You guys had a really good team and with the youth you have, you may be the first team in 1A to go four years in a row.

The fact that you ran the gauntlet in the west proves that you deserved to be there.

That’s a pretty soft schedule South Pitt has had this season.  Middle TN Christian is your toughest game and they beat Columbia Academy twice by 2 and by 8.  Columbia Academy got beat by Huntingdon 48-14 and We know Mckenzie handled Huntingdon.  Would not be surprised at all for McKenzie to win and score 30 plus.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
