SC played an all around better game.  I was pulling for Page as it was their 4th time here, but they couldn’t get out of their own way.

Can any SC fans explain the bleach blonde hair that the majority of the players had?

good game to all!  HS football is hard to beat!

The hair was just a team togetherness thing. They also did it for the 99 Championship game that they won. They didn't bleach it in 2015 and lost. Either way this team played together all year as a group, not caring who had the big night as long as they got the W. Tons of talent coming back, including most skill positions are returning.

This game to me was the upset of the weekend if that is what you want to call it...i dont know how to undefeated teams playing for a championship be an upset...maybe more of the way we all thought Page would win this because of the regular season they had!!! Meaning the little, tiny, tiny bit of points they gave up...but dang, SC came to play...and then, a busted runner-up trophy...that summed it up!

The turnovers killed us more than anything! The difference between this year and the previous three is that there were NOT as many head scratching calls this time. I wondered if the kids were waiting for some out of realm play calling like before. It wasn't the play calling that got us like the past three times.

SC did what they were supposed to do to win....everyone else, especially most of Page fans blame it on sumthin else....Booger still a large Rathbone and Page fan....and love what they are doin....if Boogers legacy was 10 runner up Gold Balls in a row.....takin it all day and night...

...Page and Oakland still got one of the top 5 best logos in the state.....Page need to go back to white helmets if they wanta win that Gold Ball

Booger just sayin Oakland Patriots Helmet

New England needs to reimplement that logo, if you ask me. Looks a lot better than the one they have now. Their old school uniforms were top notch.

Nah.  Powell was better'n yall.   That first west team was better'n yall.  The second time, that was bad coaching.  He just bout gave it away.   This time?  The ultimate choke job, coupled with a really weak schedule.

Patriot Pat = best mascot in NFL...with old Redskins a close 2nd.

I like the Pat's old uni's, but I have to go either with the 'Skins or the creamsicle Buc's over Patriot Pat for 2'nd, followed by Raiders & Steelers... I'm a big D fan so the star has to be #1. Coincidence or not...I think the big "W" edges out flying Elvis for worst, even over the Jag's awful ones.

    • Then they certainly are not putting any emphasis on turning around the program unless they truly believe the answer is already a staffer or in the building. Like I said before, initially this was a very intriguing situation when they were reportedly in discussions with some high level guys but the intrigue has gone now. It’s more curiosity than anything else as it doesn’t seem like anything of real significance is likely to happen.
    • To my knowledge, Casey Prather (North Side) and Robert Hobbs (Dyer County) are the last two players across West Tennessee that went to play SEC ball out of High School. Varnado (Haywood) played at Troy, he graduated high school 10 years ago. You also have Willie Kemp and Wayne Chism from Bolivar.  I can't think of anyone else that went to play major college basketball as well, especially recently.  When you think of Memphis players, I cannot think of anyone playing SEC ball or major college ball other than Kam Jones for Marquette, he went to ECS.  It's just the talent is not there. Simple as that.
