What is your most memorable game ever in high school football? Mine would have to be Tennessee vs. Elizabethton in 1997. If I remember correctly, it was snowing and both teams were putting on great performances. Tennessee High ended up winning 15-13. I believe that was also the year Elizabethton made it to the semifinals to face Maryville.

Gallatin and Mt. Juliet had a 2-0 game back in the late 70's early 80's.

The score was 2-0? That reminds me of that college game that took place a few weeks ago. I think Penn State played in it and the score was 6-4.

2nd round playoffs - 2001 - Anderson County scores 22 points in the last 4 minutes of the game to tie Fulton, then goes on to win in overtime. Fulton even had a stud RB that rushed for 304 yards that game.

On 30 Sep. 1966, with MBA in the midst of a three year unbeaten run, they played Franklin at home in a driving rainstorm. Most of the games in the midstate had been called off, but MBA chose to play it as scheduled. The game ended a 0-0 tie, and is generally regarded as the biggest upset in Nashville football.

 

I'm a bit surprised no one has mentioned the 1976 AAA championship game, won by Bradley Central over Jackson Central-Merry, 50-48, in 3 OT's.

2003 Maryville @ Central Reg. Season Game.....probably the longest game I've ever attended when taking into account the 2 overtimes and the TV timeouts....but the game was worth every minute.

Oak Ridge Central in the State Semi-Finals 1991. Todd Helton at QB for Central and Shawn Summers at runningback for Oak Ridge. Oak Ridge won 42-41 in OT on a blocked extra point to send them to the state championship game. They won that game 30-0 over Gallatin.

"REBELS! REBELS! REBELS!" I'm sure they were chanting it back then, too!

 

For me personally, probably the BA-Clarksville NE playoff game back in '95 or '96 (my memory has been depleted here at college) if I look at it objectively. Looking at it non-objectively... Franklin beating Brentwood in OT in the regular season last year was awesome, but being beat out ever so slightly by the Franklin-Hendersonville quaterfinal OT game last year.

1977 AA state title game

Milan 28 Maryville 6.The game was played at Alcoa, but I can't remember why.

 

2003 State semi's Huntingdon 34 Milan 29. A classic.
