That's pretty good luck to know coaches at Blackman and parents/ coaches or administration in North Jackson nd be able to speak on their behalf and guarantee what someone said is unquestionable and with out doubt factual. I have found that over the year that often times one persons interpretation often changes that. What we do know is, things, " they are a changing " I know most folks have heard it and it is a bit of a worn out saying, but this is so apropos . To continue to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result is the definition of insanity. Unless things change at Blackman we will continue to get so-so results. Big changes yield Big Results... now that could be big time great or big time terrible, but if you want to own the result you have to own the process.

Your right I think HC will be fine this year. I thought the defense improved a lot toward the end of the year last season. Think they’ll be better next year. Some big shoes to fill on offense. But To me this team has got to the point that they reload instead of rebuilding. I’m also glad they kept this game on the schedule, win or lose its good for both.

This works!!I LOVE the power game but Coach Ryan puts both to work and has proven the spread and power together is the way to go unless you are just too much for the other team in the run game and have a Defense to match.(Union City of old,Alcoa so on and so forth!)What he did this past year with all the mess we went thru with Covid,losing one of the single best players in 1A during the heat or our "Pandemic" struggles and trying multiple offensive and defensive strategies to overcome our player losses each week.At the end of the season we were one game away from being a "good" team.Considering the games we missed all year I was quiet happy with our team and its future.Alot of the times we had 9 Freshman on the field and was playing good ball---Considering.lol

In order of my confidence: 1. $1 that Pigeon Forge wins Single A 2. $1 that Pigeon Forge, Greenville, and Halls all finish in the top 10 of the traditional state tournament. 3. $1 that Halls is at state duals. For anyone that wants to take me up on all three bets, Ill round up and give you a 5 dollar bill if I am wrong all three.

Similar situation here. Science Hill with all those seniors, then 5A Rhea County, then the Devils (early on!!), then Anderson County 3 weeks or so later. A Heavily front end loaded schedule . AND we still need a 10th game. Looking like probably a NC school from what I am hearing. The Devils schedule is also brutal. The Devils grew up and matured nicely last season. I knew it would be a different game the second time around. Let the excitement begin!!!

What does how old the kids are have to do with who has the best incoming class or if they are held back? Or are you just trying to start stuff?

Hilton- Tulsa Champion...ranked Number 1 in the country Roark- Just wrestled in the same weight class as Hunter at the Elite 8 in Wisconsin. Roark Teching the kid who beat Hunter. Roark won the tournament. I think those two are definitely ahead of him.

Depending on how they split up, Kingsport DB could have a good Freshman class. The old Hammer-new Kingsman club team is upper east TN was loaded this year but not sure how many of them will be split between DB or Science Hill.

I disagree 100%. There is a process that has to be played out. The qualified TEACHER and COACH will get the job. This decision is for Mr. Bible to make. Interviews will start happening soon. Coach Grider is not involved in the process at all.

By all means please do so. We are waiting. You started with "I was told" which is hearsay, by definition. When challenged you said there is ZERO hearsay. If you don't want to reveal your sources, for fear of retaliation for those involved, then please provide the source of your communication at North Jackson. I'm confident if they celebrated his leaving there should be no problem.

Huntingdon could host. Nice facility, turf, everything to ask for. It's not used that time of year anyway. As far as who will be playing for 1A, Peabody VS tossup. I don't feel there is a clear cut in the east right now.

VB did the new coach say anything to you personally that was unprofessional? Did the new coach do anything to you personally that was unprofessional? If yes please share as a service to other professionals. If not then you are dragging a mans name through the mud not shining a light. And you dont care about the student athletes at blackman. If you did you wouldn't be posting this stuff on a message board that they or their parents could be reading. You would instead go to the AD, the principal, etc and state the unprofessional behavior. And again if you have facts please share.

I’m curious and I’m not trying to start a fight. Does this same logic apply to collegiate wrestling? Should they do away with D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO and club wrestling so that D1 isn’t watered down?

I know we all get caught up in the future and how our teams will do in different sports. I was just looking at different NET high school programs as well as some of the great programs around the state on the tssaa website.No matter if it's a boys or girls sport,we should all just enjoy the moment when our favorite teams win a state championship.Shoot,some schools have never had the Fortune of winning at that level or it's been so long that it's like telling a story that should be on the history channel. So, great job to all those individuals or teams around the state in every sport over the years that have worked hard and made it to the mountain top, because you will always be a champion !

Maybe the boro and Nashville decided it wasn't worth the trouble to deal with hosting the games. TSSAA needs to get back to representing the interests of the member institutions if they want more cities to place bids.
