  1. Region 6 winner from among Lexington, Hardin Co., South Gibson, South Side, and McNairy will be a strong team in 3A. McNairy returns almost everyone and adds a talented freshman pitcher to staff.

  2. Well going forward let's look at this as a positive. Brand new and fresh head coach steps in with tons of excitement and plenty of energy to get OR rolling again. Players and parents will get behind him and the administration will work with what ever he needs. OR has talent and 2023 will be a very exciting year for OR and fans. I see a huge positive coming out of all this for the Wildcats. And wish them the best in 2023. Go Cats! Let's get behind the Cats!

  3. I did the DII rankings for the state for years and have actually started research to try and put them together for this season. May have something that I can give to the guys at pin-tn here in a bit.

  4. Why is anyone crying about starters being out of the lineup or where they are ranked at this time of the year? The only time anyone should care about rankings is the last rankings of the season and unless you win a state championship you lost and the difference between 2nd and 8th really doesn’t matter. Unless a team is extremely fortunate they will all have to deal with injuries throughout the season.

  5. McKenzie 53 Gleason 41 This was actually a closer game than the score shows. Gleason really held their own. Good effort by Gleason. McKenzie did what good teams do. Managed the clock at the end and hit their free throws

  6. A sleeper team nobody is mentioning could be David Crockett. I think they're a heavy favorite to come out of and win Region 1, which would mean avoiding Bearden in the substate most likely. Not sure who the other team could be coming out of 2 (Heritage maybe?), but Crockett has the nation's leader in assists and are coming off of a 30+ point beatdown of Science Hill on their own floor Tuesday night. Watch out for the Lady Pioneers.

  7. The new basketball district starting in 23-24 is going to be interesting for sure. Cookeville is an 80-90 minute drive one way from future district opponents Stewarts Creek, Smyrna, and Lavergne. Bizarre!!

  8. Yeahhh looking at the box score. It wasnt near the same lineup they had for FR. This point in the season, against a team they wouldnt see in the post season. Its clear the dual didnt really mean a whole lot. Unless you're suggesting MBA has a better team than Father Ryan?

  9. The level girls wrestling has grown in just the last 5 years is astounding. Thanks to both of you guys for giving effort and making rankings for them - even if there are arguments (there is in every set of rankings after all) these girls deserve the same treatment and respect as the boys.

  10. If it’s THAT bad, why do you even get on here? Aren’t you complaining now about other people complaining?

  12. You're on the wrong thread if you want to be positive. Prepare to be chastised for saying anything positive on here. This group will find something negative about the most positive thing imaginable and most posters on the OR threads actually seem to revel in negativity. I've never seen anything like it. My advice to you is to stick to your AC thread unless you want to end up depressed. The AC threads through the years have always been positive, even when your team was losing in the playoffs to Greenville or Elizabethton every year. On the other hand, when OR made it to the title game in 2020, the sickos on the OR threads acted like OR didn't deserve to be there. This crowd loves to complain and they attack anyone who is the least bit positive...therefore, you don't belong on here. So my advice to you is to return to your AC thread...FAST, while you're unscathed!

  13. In 2A Meigs County returns almost everyone and they have a really good pitcher, they should be a factor.

  15. I think any of Green Hill, Cookeville, or Lebanon could win the district. Green Hill has good wins over Beech and Blackman in non-league and already a home win over Cookeville. Cookeville has an early season win at Stone Memorial. Lebanon’s best win so far is at home vs Gallatin. They do have a head scratching loss at Riverdale. Lebanon is the only one I’ve seen play and I don’t know if they have enough besides Jarred Hall to win the district this year. They really miss Yarin Alexander this year. At this point I’d say Green Hill wins the regular season title.

  16. Blah blah we’ve heard this crap before. You can’t see my posts but yet respond everytime I say something. Either you got another account or someone telling you what I say, either way you hear me. And just for the record, you sound like a crybaby with the last comment. I can respond or say whatever to whoever, it’s a message board.

  17. Soddy will be a factor in AAA. Lost all state in Renfro, pitcher Lloyd, and RF Wilson. Coach Nunley-Moore will have the Trojans contending again come May.

  18. So Bobcat, I can see that you've posted and that's all since I have you on ignore. I don't see your posts. I'm sure you've offered some real pearls of wisdom but be advised that I will never read them. Stop stalking me.

  19. I don't keep up with softball as much as I used too. So I'm not sure about a state run but for the west TN teams that I think should be fun to watch and do really well in district and region. 1. AA martin Westview they should have some really good pitching. Really strong core group imo 2. AAA South Gibson very young talented group of girls and well coached. Not sure about pitching but they have some strong hitters.

  20. 93 Cleveland remains the most dominant team I have ever seen. 94 was above average. I’m still not sure how the 95 team won state.

  22. Caleb came from BA this past year. His dad has taken him to wherever he felt he had the best opportunity to be the dude. He doesn't need that help. Pretty sure they are in Brentwood although they left Mount Juliet to go to BA before 6th grade.

  23. I think trader two’s post really said it well about Stroup. Think he’s left things better than where he found it at his previous jobs. I remember when he was at McNairy and IMO thought it was a huge mistake letting him get gone to Scott’s Hill. Don’t know much about Gallitan or where their program is but think he’ll make them a good coach and program builder.

  24. The same one that beat BGA 35-7? lol. They may beat them…was a great team no doubt but they wouldn’t smoke em. LA finished #14 in the country in 2022. That has to mean something. Football at the high school level in Tennessee is better now than 10 years ago. That is a fact.

  25. I would put that 93 team as the 4th best. They were ridiculous that year, and really good all surrounding years. They were huge and very fast. East TN guys let me know if these names ring any bells: Dante Hickey, The Cobb Twins, Corey Prigmore, all of those huge linemen, and whoever that massive fullback was!

  26. ....93 Cleveland team ...couldna been 92 or 94....on of them was sick great ...another team Lipscomb woulnt have beat......thinkin Cleveland might have beat a undefeated BA that was nation ranked that year.......Flea would have no ID on how big and fast that team was.... ....maybe some of you east tn folks remember that team ..the list gets larger Booger just sayin

  27. Not even worth googling…LA would be favored by 40 over all of them…maybe 30 on the Lausanne team. Thought you were smarter than to compare teams from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s to todays teams. LAs corners are bigger than their lines. 2022 Bama would beat 1975 Bama by 50. This is not debatable.

  28. This sounds so much like sour grapes from you MIF. Character is one of the criteria. Go back and review my posts about the hazing incident pre season down in Tampa. It's an open secret. Some of these kids need to learn how to lose, with grace. Apparently so do some adults.

  29. Yes, the head coach for Campbell County won Mr. football when he played QB for AC. I have no problem with who one. We had a couple games where we had to run the ball because AC QB was having a bad game. AC QB had great stats but was not the best player on the AC team. Fulton kid was the best player on the field. Say this, if the Fulton QB played for AC what kind of season would he have? If AC QB played for Fulton what kind of season would they have? AC 4A State Champions!!
