very proud of the lady warriors tonight, keep it up. unfortunately for lebanon, they had a player go down and left the game with a big knee brace, they also had a girl get ejected (she swung at one of our girls and her wrist made contact to her head, not sure it was intentional though it appeared that way and she didnt contest it) which is an automatic 2 game suspension i believe. siegel will likely have their way with them monday, especially considering the circumstances

Ill have to say I was very disappointed in Lebanon, they played nowhere near the fire and tenacity as they did on thursday and when jasmine brooks went down, it was like the collective life was taken out of lebanon. If Brooks is out for any length of time along with the 2 game suspension of elie, Im afraid that Lebanon will be dealt with rather harshly in the first round of the regionals

While the officials decisions are final, Elie's technical, IMO was vague although was a result of a tug of war with the ball. Situations like that were seen during the season and was a result of spirited play and not roughhouse tatics. Techicals were called in that game when none had been seen to any degree during the season. One thing that was evident. Lebanon did not come to play and looked timid at the start and when Brooks went down, it was a blow. Yes they will be dealt harshly in the first round but spme came off the bench that played well that were not known existed.

The player ejected was neither of the Elie sisters.

Im not the biggest girls basketball fan, but I have come out to support my lady stars all year and I just want to say that I think the game last night against Cookeville was the WORST officiated game I have watched ALL year, Boys or Girls games it was AWFUL.
This poster waited until this morning to post about the Cookeville/siegel game last nit and it doesn't look asy better today than last night. Officiating wa somewhat a problem but did not even touch the real porblems. I wish it did. Cookeveille outplayed and outcoached the Stars more than any team has done this year. Mindy Odem had a plan, Cookeville knew what it was and they implemented it to a T. They pushed the Stars from under the goal and the Stars post players would up catching the ball around the three point line or tried to shoot 3 pointers from the same area. It's no doubt that it was so because the stars could not find wide open post players positioning them selves under the goal.

Dribbling and trying to get ones self in position to take a shot became more of the effort than to work for a shot. This was the Stars worst EFFORT than aytime in the past 12 games and reminded this poster of the first 10 games of the season.

Every decision Coach Odem made had no corresponding decision to counter react. No reaction was made by the team to correct it. So its looks as if we are back to square one. This was the worst preformance of the whoe season and this poster hopes it wann't becasue the team wasn't listening. Too many stars and not enough indians. no officiating did not do this. there is enough blame to go around.

actually...the officials DONT have the final say IF the coaches dont agree with it being a Technical foul they can turn it in into to TSSAA and they can review it if they deem that it wasnt justified then they can lift the 2 game suspension but the offcicial must turn in a report (probably last night) and it will be reviewed...yes they are usually held up and the suspension takes place but it can be reiveiwed and the suspension lifted

honestly i think our team will get it done we have great SRs and experince to get this done i think that lebanon is a good enough team that they wont sneek up on us and our girls will comeout with the intensity they will need to win this game i dont think it will be a blowout or nothing like that but i think we will be in control for the most part and get it done

i did not expect that kind of blowout but i was pretty much on target wasnt I? they were definatly in control

the bad news is...if we dont win our first 2 games in the region none of this matters...I really am liking the way our girls have been finsihing games since the game at lebanon seems like they have been a buzz saw if any of you thought we would beat a SOLID lebanon team like that your crazy now lets go get Cookeville and avenge that last from a few weeks ago

GO LADY WARRIORS
