The pirates haven't had all their gun powder for any game this year. They have not had one game where every starter was available. Coalfield will bring it. Pitt better match it. What type of adjustments have been made Crossbones? You must watch them regularly.

I watch them every chance I get,I will just say I expect the O Line to be very impressive this week, I don"t think our backs will be as pressured as they have ben in the past few games.I still say they have to hit the holes and sometimes settle for short yardage and the big plays will happen. If we make it past Coalfield injury free then we may have all the starters for G'ville if they win.

From what I was told, yesterday's practice was one of the best our boys have had in a long time. The coaches have stressed some key things this week that seem to be getting the team focused. We need to come out playing to our capabilities and play that way throughout the whole game, not just half like we've been prone to do several times this year. If we play a complete game at full ability, we can look forward to staying in this thing and getting to play again next week. (I know, I state the obvious! LOL) Regardless of the suspended players that Coalfield has (with only one being a major impact, as has been said already), they will be even more determined and fired up! We can't be lulled to sleep starting this game by thinking we have an advantage going in. Noone can afford being flat at this point in the season. I'm dreading the drive again this week, but looking forward to hoisting the sails on the ole Pirate ship and goin plundering!

That's a good video. I don't understand why the guy with the camera didn't get the actual beginning of the fight. You can see that CF's 54, 21, 52, 51, and 79 drove back LV's 1 (Scribner I think) for a loss. I didn't see anything illegal unless there was some mouthing that caused Scribner to come up swinging, which is evident on another video. 21 and 51 were two of the CF boys ejected. Also 42, their best RB. So there's three players we won't see Friday. Plus 16 Wilkins with the knee injury. Heck we've beaten good teams with more players out. But like everyone has said we can't take CF for granted. And as far as CF handling LV after the fight you have to remember that LV lost their quarterback and two other starters. I assume they're starters because none of LV's bench was involved.

Just an unfortunate situation that shouldn't happen to teams that have reached this level of the playoffs. But boys will be boys. At this level any given team will have their hands full no matter who they're playing.

D60 and PowerP picking huge wins again? You guys have been doing that and it bites us everytime. Its playoff time. Win and move on. That's all that matters.

LOL....now where in the world do I say anything about a huge win? You've been smoking Roy's fudge rounds!!

#42 and #16 are the best players. #16 can do it all.

Last year SP won this game 54-6. This year SP is not the same team. They just seem to lack the consistency they need to win the State Championship. I think Coalfield is better this year also. Losing the players will hurt them, but I think it will still be a tough game for the Pirates. Dont think for one minute that SP could not lose this game Friday night. I know that they are better than Coalfield, but they have to come in focused. When they play like they did against Polk NO 1A team will beat them. We have a lot of IFS this year with our team. I know injuries have hurt us, but we still have to play better with who we have. With that being said I still think SP pulls this one out. They will add a couple of touchdowns later in the 2nd half to make the final somewhere around...

Pirates - 38

Coalfield - 13

I look forward to making it to this game. Hopefully it will be a good one. A lot of IFS going around, but at the end of the day there is no competition!

You are going to be in trouble whwn your daddy Traintracks gets on here. You aren't suppose to be posting. Don't be a Turd and back out of your bet with him. This team better be focused on Friday or it is O-V-E-R.

Im not worried about TrainTracks. He won the bet & I hardly ever post on here at all anymore except for predictions. I find it hard to believe someone can be someones daddy on a message board that hides behind a computer. Oh well maybe he will come out one day. He knows a lot of people are waiting to have a friendly conversation with him when he does. :thumb:

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
