I heard about the fight. LOL From what my son told me; Warren Central had a linebacker that liked using the head slap. After about the fourth time the Bear offense had enough. The Warren Central player was ejected and did not play the rest of the day.

No they pulled him out, got in his ear, pulled his equipment off and he stood the rest of the day, and he wasnt no small fry neither. Good size player, i got photos of the fight on my fb page, course youll have to go through 1400 to find it lol

if Hurd missed the entire year last year Beech loses to MJ and possibly Henry Co (only because Carter was not dressed for either of those games) I think Beech wins both of those games with Carter at tailback. They would have also lost to Northeast. Honestly ND, it seems as though you are fascinated with the idea of Hurd being injured. You've talked about this several times on here. If you want to put a "one-man team asterisk" by our state championship, feel free to do so. If it makes you feel better, I'll admit that we wouldn't have won the state without JH. Most teams with 5* recruits would miss them greatly if they lost them. Ask Jalen what kind of year he would have had without the 16 Sr starters from last year (6 of whom will play at the next level this year) Two other Sr's had the opportunity to play on Saturdays this year but chose to play other sports in college (baseball and wrestling).

Personally you need help if you think I want him or any other hurt my point is JH is Beech - no way they win state w/o him

Wilson Central has been quiet since the spring. WCP is usually on here talking about the Wildcats. Ever since the scrimmage with Blackman; were they had some players out with injuries; they have gone dead.

As far as myself being quite im waiting until the season starts. Our defense should be talented this year in my opinion. Have several good players returning. Not much depth though. Gwave is right no big target at receiver. Angel is out with injury should be back by start of season. But angel did play some n 7v7 I think

WC05; sorry to hear Angel has been hurt and hope he can return before the season starts. I don't know him personally; but have heard from many he is an outstanding young man. He is a BIG part of WC; on a team that has a lot of talent. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at receiver at different times through out the season.

Just read a article about Gallatin picked last. Who will be coach next year. Williams, Perry, or someone else. My pick is Perry. I have been told Gallatin don't go 6-4 or better he is gone.

There is nothing wrong with the current coaching staff. Gallatin can't help that they had one year of a talent drop. There isn't one team in the state that hasn't had a year here and there where the talent isn't what it usually is. And Gallatin is usually consistent in having some of the better players in the district, and making the playoffs every year almost. Give it time, and it will be that way again soon. Every good program misses the playoffs every once in a while. Hendersonville is another top program that missed the playoffs last year. Gallatin and Hville played a tougher schedule than any team in the district last year, which lead to both teams coming short of the playoffs. Gallatin had Oakland/Brentwood as non district games, Hville had Riverdale/ Franklin. Maybe if they scheduled weaker opponents like a couple teams in this district do every year, both could've still squeaked into the playoffs.

Please stop posting behind a screen name and identify yourself. Do you know it's a cowardly act to call for someone's head and job status behind a hidden screen name?

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
