It is very hard to get up for a game like last week or this one for that matter... In 2010, only everyone was up for the Gville game... We still mercy ruled JB in the State Championship game... They were undefeated... it would be nice to see a South Pitt vs. Union City rematch... It will definitely be a different game this time... P.S. It was somewhat surprising given Lincoln County High being there and having a storied program. Not sure if any one has answered your question but I will try. There have always been 2 separate school systems here in Lincoln County or at least for many years. Fayetteville School System's website says it was started in 1910. At some point, not sure when, all of the city's high school students went from the city school system into the county system for 10th, 11th and 12th grades. They, the city school system's board, decided they wanted a high school and here we are. We also have Riverside Christian Academy who plays 8 man football. They have won their state championship the last 2 years. I don't see any way Fayetteville can win over South Pittsburg. You guys have a great tradition of winning year in and year out. I talked to someone a couple of weeks ago that was from South Pitt visiting Fayetteville. When she told me where she was from the first thing I said was "y'all have a great football team every year".
