A lot of people look at this game as SP is playing a 6-6 team in the 3rd round what more can you ask for? But, at the same time a lot of people need to realize this is not the same SP team of the 2006-2012 years that could just put people away instantly. Do I think SP will win the game. Yes. But, at the same time, I am smart enough to know that this bunch better come out from the get go and play ball or they will be playing basketball. SP needs to come out from the start and have something to prove in a big way. Go Pirates!

I have never seen more doubters from the Spitt side ever!!! why not show faith and Positive thoughts!!!! This is exactly why our Boys stand on the Sideline flapping their Wings for us to get Loud!!! Fayetteville is the Team that better practice hard this week!! Fayetteville is the Team that better know WE ARE THE SOUTH PITTSBURG PIRATES!!!!!

Hey cuz...none of us are doubting. We are just keeping it real. We want and need our boys to be completely focused EVERY week and not just look at records and think the game in already won. This team coming in is fired up and playing great ball. Our Pirates are going to do great, but we just dont want them to get caught in a "trap" game. If we play our game, and the refs let us play, this game wont be close in the end.

Jasper doesn't have the over all team speed and athleticism this team seems to have.  It is also coached well at times.  Remember that this is 1st year team and the more the play the better chances they have to work out the kinks.  I think SP will be o.k. if they come ought and play defense like they did the 1st QTR & half against Boyd for all 4 qrts and also take care of the ball on offense.  As far as the Jasper game goes, they were better than they have been since making it to the semis a few years ago and were playing under rivalry emotions.  The Fayetteville team is coming in fired up and the Pirate D needs to go out there and put that fire out and not let it restart.

South Pitt will smash Fayetteville by at least 4 to 5 scores...  It is very hard to get up for a game like last week or this one for that matter...  In 2010, only everyone was up for the Gville game...  We still mercy ruled JB in the State Championship game... They were undefeated...  it would be nice to see a South Pitt vs. Union City rematch...   It will definitely be a different game this time...  P.S.  Who cares about enrollment, noise, or Fayetteville being the next great thing;  let's talk SP vs. FV.....

Howie, don't worry about getting up for this game. We aren't a team that you have to look out for. We lost a bunch of games and were the lowest seed in the playoff quads, even though we're still playing.  Never mind that all our losses were to teams who made the playoffs, some of which are still playing.  We can't run the ends and our passing game is non-existent.  We have no defensive speed to the ball or on special teams.  Never mind that only two teams this year have kicked off long to our return guys, everyone else kicks it short.  You could play your JV squad and smash us like you say.  Why don't you go ahead and start a conversation thread about your game next week with Coalfield or Midway?  You can save your price of admission on Friday and start making plans for next week.  Better yet, why don't you spend that time thinking of how to write a coherent comment instead of all these disjointed thoughts you strung together? Come back when you have a valid point to make.  Oh yeah, this is 2013, and I'm sure most of the boys on the 2010 team you're talking about have since graduated, and yes, that was an incredibly accomplished squad, like so many others before it.  But, until the final whistle on Friday night, the only way you'll replay the Union City game will be on your Xbox.

If you think we believe this, it won't work.

Take that stuff somewhere else. One look at the online videos of your team and people can see they have some athletes. Records don't mean squash in the playoffs. SP had a 5-5 or 6-4 team run all the way to the semifinals one time. It happens. SP will be ready for this game. That much you can count on.
