^thats what I thought.. I couldn't see talented kids leaving a school with the tradition and facilities that Sevier has for a new school that is unproven.

Now you're right about that. Maryville had a terrible field. Oak Ridge has a good one and maintains it well until late fall when the grass turns brown. Always had good drainage on our field, thankfully.

That could be because of the crown that your field has. Biggest one I have seen in Tenneessee.

Turf is awful, but it is cheaper long term and you don't have to paint it every week!

Example my kids wouldn't go to gp if heck froze over. Hahahahahaha!

 GP year in and year out  gets more scholarship money ,for their students than any in county. and Football is solid. Its a rivalry thing passed down from generation to generation. i went to neither school but my wife went to GP and still won't wear purple

I eat breakfast with someone that coached at Sevier County many years ago as an assistant and he told me they got a lot of good players from the Kodak area which will be apart of the new school but again that was years ago.

I eat breakfast with someone that coached at Sevier County many years ago as an assistant and he told me they got a lot of good players from the Kodak area which will be apart of the new school but again that was years ago.

We have had some really good players from Kodak. Have a few now that contribute that would probably be at the new school if it was the full 4 years now. I do think the very best players will still go to SC, but it will hurt our numbers. And we need depth if we ever hope to compete with Maryville
