Bravey
Where in the paper did it say that? And no, Alcoa didn't "back down" from anybody. It is a known fact that Jody Wright proposed moving Loudon to District 5, leaving Alcoa scrambling to find 6 non-district games. As for 3 games in 9 days, we didn't have much choice. We called over 80 teams trying to find a 10th game, but no one else wanted Alcoa on their schedule. Our form of retaliation for Jody Wright's move behind our backs was to make the black birds go all the way to Hopkinsville, Kentucky to find a game. That's what happened there. If you don't believe it, consider your sources. Dont cry !!! They turned tail and ran ... 2 years prior Alcoa frosh came to Fulton to play Falcon frosh and the Falcon frosh hammered them 38-6 .. thats why Rankin turned tail and ran .... they can use the excuse of Jody Wright all they want .... but as I have stated .. if I was pissed at some school I would want to beat the snot out of them ... thats just me ... Alcoa ..they turned and ran ... fact!
Indian
That's not a good reason, and even if Loudon wasn't on the schedule that affected one week not six. With Meigs down to Class A and Tellico still in Class A it was the right move for Loudon to go south regardless of when the decision was made. If Alcoa disliked their district so much after Loudon went south they could move up and play in Maryville's.

Indian
"We don't like our district, we're too good for Class3A, youtube video #1523, we don't have enough teams that want to play us!" Move up and have 8 or 9 guaranteed games vs Knoxville area teams. "Hater, jealous, you don't have a clue, it was our way of getting Jody Wright, blah, blah, blah" Okay, carry on.

RebRaider85
So East Tenn schools really don't consider playing NC, VA or GA Schools??? KY!!! Yall rather find games in KY? We (Sullivan South) are a little closer to the Northeast corner of the state so we have regularly played teams in both North Carolina and Virginia the last few years. The NC team brought practically no one to our place from Ashville (we packed their stands) so we have not rescheduled them but the VA team has a great fan base (not far away) so every time we play them the stadiums are full. Several teams in NET play teams from the border states.

Other than them, only 3 teams on this list made the playoffs (2 got knocked out in Round 1) or finished above .500. So........................yeah

Red Rebels
So East Tenn schools really don't consider playing NC, VA or GA Schools??? KY!!! Yall rather find games in KY? The terrain over here is a little different than West TN. Blount county has a common border with NC, but there are only a few roads that go over there through the mountains. I would hate to ride a bus over there from Maryville.
