CLASS A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: UNION CITY VS. COALFIELD

GB and Coalfield are almost identical.We have a caution light and an old drug store.No convenient store and no food places about 4 miles from the school on 411 there is a gas station.LOL.We have 192 kids.

         Just a GREAT atmosphere for all involved. Thats what I love about all these small East TN schools.

Moffett is playing in the east vs west game in cookeville. JERNIGAN, HENRY, 5 others in a west game in Jackson I think.

Oh wasnt insisting cause they live near a large city they get students from there. I just think thats pretty cool to be living that close to Knoxville. At least Stewart wont be far from home and his parents can make the short drive to watch him play.

Its about a 45 minute drive. Definitely the closest he could be to home.

We definitely have a great offer for him. And we have 3 of them right now with a chance for number 4. Plus recognition in the state. Lol

I can't believe UC beat Peabody 42-16. UC would have won the 2A Championship easily.

8 didn't get to play when we played union city. He got in trouble at school that day and was suspended from football for 10 days. So he had practiced all week and coach had game planned with him in the mix as tailback and linebacker. then all of a sudden he was out. Pretty sure 8 learned his lesson.

     Lots of small schools in East Tn don't have a red light. Coalfield is like most small schools in this end of the state.

We used to have a caution light at Scotts Hill, but they put in a four way stop and took it.
