She can flat out play. She played her freshman year at South Gibson. Went to Milan to play last year and sat out. She would be even better at GC with Wilkins coaching her. You will see. Kid can play. Just saying if they hadn't divided schools, she would be at GC and yea we would play with E ton with her added.

If by perimeter game you mean improve her ball handling then we agree. Anyone can get letters, offers pay for school!

everyone can always improve on ball handling... But being able to consistently knock down and the mid range and three point shot. She will have offers... She's a D1 kid, I assure you.

Looks like east tn is looking good at state. I can see Oliver Springs or SG bringing home the gold ball.

I was glad to OS do so well. I haven't seen them play, but knew they had to be good to have beaten Hampton in the sectional. I'm feeling better about my Rebels and East TN all the time.

I don't think anyone said they were untouchable. In my opinion outside of Clarkrange, 7A was the weakest its been in a long time because of the decline in Jackson County. Pickett Co. is a young and upcoming team and

their middle and elementary programs are thriving. I see them returning to the top of the district in a short amount of time and as long as Jim Brown coaches the Lady Blue

Devils they will be a force to be reckoned with when they

hit the hard wood at the murphy center. It took a 65 foot

shot from beyond halfcourt to keep them out of the state

tournament this year in what most of us to believe is a

down year. :popcorneater:

HOWS THAT CROW TASTE UC. The great 7A...whatever maybe next year. Maybe York has some speed you can steal this summer. When Lamar stops crying. Congrats Middleton. Maybe Lamar needs to request to play a team whos mascot is not a TIGER. #2YEARSINAROW

Congrats to Middleton! No doubt the best single a team in the state. Your rant against Coach Rogers reminds me of a middle school poster. Clarkranges' gold and silver balls prove his coaching ability. He doesn't duck any competition. Enjoy your victory and hope you don't have to meet him on the court next year.

Still not going to say that 15A was the best district top to bottom...Scotts Hill, Madison, and Adamsville were way off their normal competitiveness, and even TCA was weaker than usual.

After sending two to the final eight, and bringing the gold ball back, it's really hard not to say that the top of 15A was the best of the best though.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
