Why doesn't maryville play other states top teams?

I'm all for that stars. But all this back and forth and proficiency numbers has got me thinking...if we got all these studs coming to murvil, why can't our baseball team finish higher than 4th in our district?

Big privates should be playing in a re-modified 4A, along with the top half of 5A and and all 6A schools. 1A and the bottom half of 2A should be in re-modified 1A. Top half of 2A and all of 3A should be in the re-modified 2A. Smaller privates, all of 4A and the bottom half of 5A should make up the re-modified 3A.

I have been saying for years that you only need four (4) classifications for football in Tennessee.

 

1A  Small public schools and no private or magnet schools

2A  Public schools, small non financial aid giving private schools & magnet schools

3A  Public schools, private schools & magnet schools

4A  Public schools large financial aid giving private schools & large magnet schools

They have had a lot of success against teams who have many more top players on their squad mostly because they have many kids who have played together for a while - they have great coaching
