Who’s coming out of the West?  UC and Humboldt?

The west is going to be tough depends on which team continues to improve! UC, Middleton, Trenton, Trinity Christian & Humboldt will be interesting who’s playing well come regional tournament time & substate is not going to easy either playing a Memphis team!!! Humboldt guards need to continue to improve & play strong!!!!!

With Mitchell moving to AA the raid has to get a little easier I would think but as we all know it’s still tough having to beat a Memphis school to get to the glass house. I’m going to pick UC and Humboldt from the west. VanBuren is playing really good ball and has arguably the best player in Class A on it’s team so they will be there. I’m also going to pick Last years runner up Clay Co to be there. Not sure about the other 4 teams.

Humboldt lost tonight against Christian Brothers (6A), Missouri 75-59, the Vikings  played a good game until the size of Christian Brothers (Center 6'11, Power forward 6'8, small forward 6'6, shooting guard 6'4 & point guard 6'6) wore them down, the biggest team the Vikings have played by far. Humboldt looked like  midgets against CB but hung around until the fourth quarter & was down only four (4) at half.  Vikings play two (2) more games in the tournament & hopefully can get a win before the second half of season starts.

LEAD Academy is off to a strong start. 13-2, with their two losses coming to a 4A Atlanta team (by 1 in overtime) and AA Upperman in the championship game of a Christmas tournament. They play hard and have the discipline to win close games, although depth is not a strength. Should be interesting to see how Region 4A shapes up.
