Not so sure.No improvement at all in 3 years.

To be fair, WB only had 7 seniors on the roster this year. I was listening to Cupp on the radio the other week and he was naming off all the sophomores and freshmen that are starting or getting a lot of playing time on friday nights, and it really put things in perspective for me.

This year has definitely been a big disappointment, but there is reason for hope. We have found a really good QB in freshman Trey Clemmer and he has a lot of talented young guys around him. I'm told they have a receiver on JV who looks like Isaiah Hannah 2.0. That alone gets me excited. The offense will be good. The question is will the necessary changes be made on defense?

Who else is he gonna throw to besides "Isaiah Hannah 2.0" you can't have one kid to stress a a defense you need at least one more to balance out the field?

They have a few other guys who can be quality receivers, but I am talking a big time playmaker who can get behind everybody and make the homerun plays.

Heritage and W.B. might be getting some improvements. The visitor's bleachers at the football facilities would be nice, especially for big games and the jamboree.

Blount County Schools’ Athletics Committee this month recommended to the school board more than $200,000 in renovations to high school football stadiums before they deteriorate further.

The first recommendation on a list of more than a dozen priorities for BCS athletics facilities is an estimated $207,00 to clean, seal and caulk the football stadiums at Heritage and William Blount high schools, including a weather deck coating.

The committee’s other recommendations include:

• Restroom and concession facilities between the high school baseball and softball fields.

• An asphalt parking lot for the HHS baseball/softball area;

• Extending the parking lot behind the WBHS gym for baseball and softball

• A separate baseball facility for Heritage Middle School;

• Sprinkler systems for middle school baseball and softball facilities;

• Visitor bleachers at football facilities

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
