3A State Championship contenders

I'm sure there are some other great teams but without reading through this.I'd bet on Alcoa as the only team that can beat Alcoa.

Covington and PC will be an awesome game if they both take care of business and make semis. I will say in my opinion this years Covington team is better than last years.

For the past few years they told us that we played in 4a because it was easy and 3a was where the athletes and good teams where.

Covington’s defense has got a lot better since beginning of season. Offense has had slow starts last couple of of weeks. I hope we get a chance to play PC again but we will have to beat some good teams to do so.

It's actually everyone else's goal just to get to Alcoa, unfortunately for teams in regions 1,3, and 4 they won't even get to play for second

Nope. Maryville is the defending 6A state champion, had a 76 game home win streak, hasn't lost a region game in 18 years, has 12 state championships since 2000 and is 143-4 in the regular season since 2004.

Can't take the win from those kids by saying "Its just a rivalry game, those can go either way" . Disrespectful to both programs and their kids.

Since 2000, name a season when Alcoa gets a win over Maryville and doesn't go undefeated....I'll wait.

great stats from the past....but didn't 3A Alcoa beat 6A Maryville this year?
