Okay okay, so we may have had some tendencies during the game.  That is a testament to great coach’s preparation during the week.  I’d be willing to bet we haven’t lined up with those tendencies all season long or Meigs would have been prepared for it.  This is why you make adjustments week to week to help you win.  Without watching it on film, it obviously was hard to detect “during” the game.  No offense GB guys, but that glaring hole in what you call the B-C gap, everyone seen it was a “glaring hole”.  There wasn’t anything secret about it.  Again, testament to great preparation by the coaches and players from SP.  Most 1A teams run maybe 5-6 base plays most of the game with just a few adjustments in formation here and there.  Again no secret.  It’s just like I can say that GB’s QB is a pocket passer and doesn’t scramble near as good as Swafford.  It’s a glaring observation.  Also, either Meigs sent them the video, or someone recorded it secretly from Meigs stands.  Either way, watch all you want.  One thing about SP that’s no secret and is glaring is by the end of the 3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter you better not have your hands on your hips or knees because we will bring in fresh legs and run it over you.

Great post, PM.

We hope to make it a game!

All of the surrounding counties and cities are very proud of Greenback this season. All of their former players are killing it for Greenback this year.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
