My game is apparently not going to be moved. It is being covered by one radio station, one video production, and cable TV. I have been told that there is not room for us in the Press Box. We are slated to go on top of the Press Box with no cover, and broadcast in a rainstorm. My back will not allow me to climb a straight vertical ladder with equipment. I get to broadcast sitting in the stands with a plastic bag over my head and my equipment a plastic sealed cardboard box.

Been there done that!  I was on top of Oakland's pressbox during a monsoon in the Semi-finals last year against Maryville.  Me and my broadcast partner toted a canopy and all our equipment up a ladder to the roof.  Hazards of the trade.

Never have understood why some schools, especially larger ones or ones in metropolitan areas, do not build Press Box facilities to accommodate folks. Many  schools bend over backwards to try and accommodate you. For me FA,  CLA, COLA and STG come to mind. Others seem to consider you a bother. But you are right. It is hazards of the trade. Even with the horrible conditions, there's no place I'd rather be than broadcasting a game on a Friday night

The Lord does work in mysterious ways. I said earlier that I was going to have to broadcast a game Friday from the stands sitting out in the rain storm. I just got a phone call from one of our football dads saying that another one was going to take care of installing us a 10 by 10 portable Press Box to broadcast from on Friday. They will take care of installation and taking it down. I love the school I broadcast for.

That's too funny, me and Coach Fitzgerald were texting each other about this last night....  His exact words... "When did we start moving games because of rain?  Now I understand early in the year with thunderstorms, but late in the season with good ole fashion rain???"   Love that dude...

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
