Eh. I think they will struggle. They haven't faced a team as big or fast as us. Coach Henry gets all he can out of his boys though so we have to be prepared.  Roy should be proud bc I saw our boys flipping tractor tires and chasing chickens at the practice field today. We will be real strong and fast Friday.

I didn’t say I was picking Coalfield. I’m picking SP to win the game.

I watched the OS game. I personally think Monterey and Gordy would beat Coalfield.

Coalbucket didn't make as many mistakes on offense though other than having to score 4 and goal from the 19th following a wiener tug call.  They and Gordy could give ought a Best Tug award after the game.

Hey skillets - this week will look similar to Gordy. 1st half will look like a game, 2nd half speed and skill will win out.

If the Pirates had avoided drive killing penalties at Gordy, it would have been something like 21 to 28 - 0 at the half.  The Gordy score came on a drive after they got out of a 4th and 13 situation on a dumb defensive face mask away from the ball. That Gordy score woke the Pirates up.

Old Pirate says the Pirates will dominate beginning from the start. Ifin yous wondering, the last home game will be the ignition switch to start early and finish strong! Afterall, Ifin theys don’t and lose, their season will be over! YepReconSo

If they are fortunate enough to win the gold while still playing incomplete games it will be a disappointment as far as not reaching their full capability.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
