I understand wanting to play new opponents which we have 2 in Harpeth and Whites Creek,  but at the same time theses county border games are extremely important for gate and theses kids that have rivaled gville, Macon, Smith, FC since they started sports and they get to carry that through high school now. I like playing H2O later. But some of his in the team could care less about playing FC. FC won't bring a big crowd. Have you ever been to Whites Creek field its kike stepping back in time they don't even have a modern field goal post? I'm okay with the schedule. These kids at her okay a bigger school and get a win than playing a 1A school like Gordy every year for 4 years. There are a lot of schools that TC cab play that will bring people to the gate and FC isn't one of those teams. All I'm saying is that this schedule could have been better and helped the team by playing better team's iron sharpens iron.

I completely disagree with this. You must not have lived in Trousdale very long. I wish FCS would play h2o. Those rivalry games from the old region need to continue to be rivalry games. They bring big gates, the kids have played one another their whole lives and the towns have a lot of bad blood which makes for exciting matchups every year in my opinion. I could see Gville in the next few years dropping off TC and H2O from their schedule but that would be a huge mistake. I don’t understand why schools would not want to schedule the towns closest to them but would prefer to drive well over an hour for a game fans can’t even get behind. As an H2o fan being able beat Fc would be like beating Tc.

Lived in TC for over 39 years. Yes, there is hate for FC but they don't bring a big gate. FC doesn't pack the stands like a game against Springfield would bring TC fans to have no problem traveling an hour to a game. Gordonsville and Smith will bring a big crowd. FC I saw it for the past 5-10 years it's not that big of a deal like Macon, Gordy, and Smith.

2 new opponents for TC with the Smith county chuckles and the upperman wood bees replacing White House and Portland 

I like the way the schedule is set up. It's good to get SC and Upperman back on the schedule......also nice to get a couple of new teams into the mix.

Yep my understanding is that was the deal breaker. We weren’t interested in an away 1 and done and y’all weren’t able to commit to a home / home.

That region is stacked. A really good team wont qualify for the playoffs. Looking forward to Week 2 already.

Agree. Since Huntingdon moves up and Wayne / Collinwood moves to 5 then it could possibly be a sweep of region 6 come playoffs next year.

I’m not sure why we just had 1 game unless we already made a deal with a 1 and done away.  I figure we have our region games that’s 4 games.  Then Jasper and Sequtchie makes 6.  Then assuming we’ve kept red bank and Meigs that’s 8.  So if just 1 left then the other 1 must have been as I said.  I’m purely guessing and haven’t heard anything.

Doubt it will be a sweep with McKenzie moving to region 6A.
