I said, "It might not have been a deep run, but Obion did make the playoffs in 2017." I agree. I wouldn't consider being put out in the second round a deep run. However, I did want to point out that the Rebels did make the playoffs at least once in that 4 season time frame mentioned by Tomcatfan2011. Your statement seems to imply that the Rebels didn't. In fact, your statement seems to imply that OCC has never made the playoffs. I didn’t know Obion Central made the playoffs one time in the last four years. I’m sure many Obion Central fans didn’t know they made the playoffs just once over the last 4 years.

No team shows all they've got in a jamboree. I would not mind getting Peabody on our regular schedule either. Heck, why not? Why already have a super hard schedule. It would be a great gate. With that being said, I still love having our own Jamboree with Peabody. It is a great thing for both programs. Would not want to lose that. stacmot
Head-to-head competition decides the outcome. But just for the fun of it, I looked at an online match-up tool to see how the Region 7-4A teams were predicted to fare in their season openers. The predictions were: August 19 - Dyer Co. over Crockett Co. by 8 August 19 - Milan over Peabody by 7 August 20 -South Gibson over Lexington by 6 August 20 - Hardin Co. over North Side by 3 August 20 - Obion Co. over Gibson Co. by 8 August 27 - Cordova over Haywood by 7 All of the games are predicted to be fairly close, but only 3 of the Region 7-4 teams (Milan, Obion, and South Gibson) are predicted to win their opening game. Of course, I did not need a match-up tool to tell me this, but I'll say all 6 games are toss ups. Good luck to the Bulldogs, Cavaliers, Hornets, Indians, Rebels, and Tomcats. I'm looking forward to a fun and exciting year in Region 7-4A.

The games are not played on paper! I think the D for Hardin County could be the key this year. Pope and Garner are listed on there for offense but the two Along with Wilkes also make up the secondary for the Tigers. Hooper and Harris are both ballers as well. With some stingy D it can allow the offense to gel with a new QB and RB. Also Pope is special with the ball in his hands. I think HC could come back stronger than some may think. Lost a lot from last year but got some real talent in that team.
