Lake county doesn't run or hide from any opponent or school regardless how big or how small! We had ensworth scheduled for this year and they have a student enrollment of 1041 and we have barely 220. The only reason it was canceled is because ensworth didnt want to come our way and play next year, so what did we do? We scheduled Haywood county with all 858 students 4 times lake county's size in their place. Anybody, Anywhere, Anytime! We dont run, we don't hide

Just clarification, so if a region team gets the Covid bug and the game is canceled you don’t have to make it up?

If the game cannot be made up, the team that did not have the covid gets a forfeit win for seating purposes. The Peabody and lake County game did not necessarily have to be made up

Good point. Good enough where I’ll do a project tomorrow with teams playing “quality” opponents (non-district of course) and see who is playing opponents with the largest separation in school enrollment.
There is a criteria for a team to be considered a “quality team.”

You mean play a game that matters to 2 recent GoldBall winners ? Imagine that ! Jacob’s has class and feels LC got did very wrong last year and win lose or draw it’s the right decision for all involved !

This guy gets it! Hate the Dburg game was canceled but it’s the new normal I’m afraid. Here’s a strange question what would happen if let’s say hypothetically Peabody had to cancel the next game due to Covid…who would get the W? If school A canceled the first game and school B had to cancel the 2nd game who would get the W? Just curious lol

Whatever happened in the first game would take precedence. Since the second game was never actually made up the cancellation of the first would be the only one that matters.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
