Excuse me for stating where it's been in past years, but East TN in Chattanooga the first weekend in December. I'm not saying HC will get there, but the end goal for everyone is to be playing that weekend. HC will be in the 3rd round looking for some Yellow Jackets to destroy.

Henry County - 35

Munford - 28

I'm basing my prediction this week strictly based on the numbers. Munford has only been held to 28 or fewer points on offense in only 3 games this season. The Cougars have only allowed 1 team this season to score over 30 points and that was Covington in game 1. I still think this will be a close game either way you look at it. I have learned you better respect these type of teams like Munford has especially in the playoffs and at their home. I love the way the Patriots have been playing the last 3 weeks but this will be a good measuring stick to see "how good are we?"

GO BIG RED!!!!

28 points is being very generous to the Cougars. I am certain that HC's defense is much more stout than Portland's. I don't see the Cougars getting the same number of points against us, for sure.

Like I said only 3 teams have held Munford to 28 or less. They scored 28 on Portland, Covington held them to 8, and Munford scored 24 on an undefeated Dyersburg team. All their other games Munford had their way offensively with opponents. If we do better than my prediction then that's GREAT!

But Portland held NE to 20 and HC held NE to 40 and didn’t make the playoffs.

We got an injured deep threat safety back last week that  we didn’t have against pass heavy northeast. This guy was good for a long pick 6 last Friday. He’s a difference maker. And if Mumford is run heavy as people say. That’s more in our wheel house stoping the run. If HC shows up i can’t see it being a tight game. HC and Springfield Roll pretty easy this week. And would people consider it an upset it number 2 Hc beats number 1 Mumford??

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
