Honestly just the situation with coach Price's son going through his battle with cancer. Not sure they would want to completely restart at a new place with all the stuff he's going through off the field. I personally think they would be outstanding at Oak Ridge, I'm just not sure the timing is right.

Obviously there are things bigger than football. That said, OR isn't that far from CC so probably wouldn't even need to move and I have to imagine OR represents a substantial bump in pay from what they make at CC

With the Prices, you want one, you have to hire both, and with similar pay, plus you have to find teaching positions for both.  It's my belief that this is the reason Justin hasn't taken one of the several good jobs that have had interest in him.

I figured they're a package deal. I have to think if this is the route OR wants to take, they'll make it happen

I think the Price twins would be boom or bust. What they have done in CC is great but it is so different at Oak Ridge. They are both good dudes and I know they would love to coach Oak Ridge. One even lives a lot closer to Oak Ridge than CC unless he has moved in last couple of years.I always think way more of the coaches who can take a program to new heights than those who keep a good one going.Price twins have done that for sure

What about Will Kriesky? He has Riverdale back to playing good football but as long as Creasy is at Oakland he’s always going to be playing second fiddle in Murfreesboro. All the momentum and most of the talent is gonna keep going to Oakland (not to mention all the other schools he has to compete for kids with in the Boro). Yes, the talent pool is bigger out there but talent has never been an issue at Oak Ridge. Not 100% sure but I think Anderson Co and Clinton are really the only schools you guys have to compete for kids with - right?

I don’t know Kriesky or what kind of guy he is and I don’t know what he makes at Riverdale but I know he has done a lot with them in the last couple of years in a very competitive situation. I know he is from and played at Henry County so the community feel of Oak Ridge may be a better fit for him and his family than a place like Murfreesboro. He is young, has head coaching experience, has worked with Creasy (Oakland), Perry (Mount Juliet), Webb (Franklin) and his dad was a coach at Henry Co and his brother was coaching at Centennial.
I have no ideal is this is even feasible but just throwing a name out there of a coach that might possibly check the boxes and may possibly be a fit at OR. I think he would be worth a look if he were interested. Just saying.

From my understanding, Joe had made up his mind awhile back that he was gonna hang it up, so I don’t think that had anything to do with it. It just so happened to be a coincidence. Joe and the Miner family are really close, as far as that goes. Nothing but mutual respect from those 2. I’m ready to pitch in whatever it takes to get it done, BTW.

Based on the 5SP article, Miner didn’t know the resignation was coming…….

Interesting to say the least…

Nice outside the box thinking, but I think Kriesky is probably content at Riverdale (although I could be wrong) until they build Christiana HS. If he's interested, it could be a good fit. If they're kicking the tires on coaches from RuCo, then they need to take a look at Stephen Jackson (Oakland DC)

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
