I know that. I meant between Oakland and Blackman. And yes DB has the best band but not the best choir.

I spent 20 years touring as a professional musician so my appreciation may be different from what others like in a halftime show. While it is not my primary instrument I was also the drummer for our stage band jazz ensemble when I was in high school (a billion years ago ..I know) . That said, I never really cared for the artsy-fartsy halftime shows with all the props and dancing and playing of songs by composer no one outside the world of band has heard of. Always themed with a main character  (girl or guy), leaping and jumping  and dancing around looking for their lost love, followed up by a horn solo you almost can't hear only to find them as they are dying or dead. BTW Why do you have to take your hat off to play a solo....It's not like it releases some kind of Kenny G Herb Alpert  super powers ,,,,,oh yeah.. squirrel!   The question.. my opinion I would say Blackman primarily because I seldom hear Oakland band play anything  except for fight song after  touchdowns,,, but that's a lot,,, Maybe they don't  have time to play anything except for that

Deflection is easier than admitting you have no argument

Both schools have great athletics top to bottom. The county itself has great athletics. Competition makes everyone strive to be better. He is a Blkman guy, so his perception is a little biased. As is yours. One could argue Cecil Joyce is biased as well. at the end of the day blackman has the better parking lot and physical school building by a landslide lol

Maybe for you, my ears are grateful they no longer exist

There are black keys and white keys on a piano that make up all the notes in any scale or for that matter song....Karaoke girl was the only one I have ever seen or heard that could actually sing the spaces between the keys          A sharp flat 7th augmented minor diminished demolished.....

Blackman sounds like Williamson County with their great marching bands!

Oh to the contrary... they don't do all that hoity -toitey  crap... they just play 80-90s rock songs and some marching... play them well and leave the field ... any time you have to bring 5 marimbas and a platform for your dancers... game over..

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
