Sounds like the former coach is most at fault.  I don't think schools can just give money to parents, makes sense.  Parents seem a little naive here, but the bottom line is there is a reason the former coach got fired.

Where there's a will, there's a way...they absolutely could have been paid for the lockers if the board wanted to pay the (roughly) sub $20 per amount. Unbelievable that before the return of the lockers, someone someplace didn't arrange for payment in some manner.

If it was or wasn’t they made it his fault once they fired him. Maybe he had a plan where the QB club could have paid. Heck maybe the principal was in on it and someone said something to the board and he put it all on the HC. One thing I can say about Clarksville is no big I’d or U’s. They will tell on each other in a heartbeat lol

heck of a conspiracy you got here.  I'd love to have some proof of this.  Would be news worthy.

You would be surprised wave…Some places it’s like a act of congress

I would be contacting Gildersleeve, Travis Stephens and Jalen Reeves Mavin, guys who were somebody and have pull in that program.  It’s not like Northeast hasn’t had some good guys come through that program, it’s not Northwest.

I could tell he was clearly speculating, at any rate the players/team really needed those lockers and at the end of the day the powers that be chose not to give them what they need, even at a discount price...

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
