ER should have won by 21+. Brooks saw how dirty York was playing and pulled starters too early.

They still drove it down Easts throat for 2 drives with the varsity in at the end. They also had 2 fumbles in Easts territory in the first half I believe. Followed by poor clock management at the end of the half.

York was still a good ball team. They coulda kept it close if not have won the game if they didn’t have so many 15 yard penalties to go along with the amount of turnovers they had. They drove the ball well all game and had that touchdown with a minute left that East went down and scored on to make it 21-7 at half. If they didn’t fumble twice and mange their clock poorly in the first half who knows what coulda happened.

I don’t have a dawg in this fight but that’s a whole lot of ifs you just mentioned. Truly good football teams don’t have that many ifs.

You gotta watch talking about middle school football. Croppy will be in here soon making you think middle school is almost professional ball. Lol.

I don’t either but York might not have made the playoffs in the west and they were in the semis in the East. York was able to run it down their throats. Riverside is a much better team than York. If Riverside decides to pound ER. ER is in for a long day.

croppy is to busy recruiting and buying steroids for the middle school team :roflol:

This guy must still be mad about that bullying East did on Peabody in the championship.

I mean yeah but they didn’t have a tough schedule.  He should have ran over York. They looked like a middle school team. If that’s any indication of the rounds prior I’m not impressed.

He was successful against Marion, Smith, and York, b2b2b. Sometimes you West guys are so in love with yourselves you can't give credit.

I am not saying you're wrong about Riverside or even how the game might go, but ER and Groves are legit. I have seen a bunch of teams up and down the state. Huntingdon is one you West guys love to salivate about. They were pathetic in their last game. Dresden choked bigtime last week against what I will still say is an overrated McKenzie team. Moore if healthy beats their eyes shut.  Groves just averages 4-7 yards a carry and breaks 2-3 for 50+ each.

    • The golf preseason came to a close Friday at Indian Hills as the I-24 Invitational hosted by Rockvale was contested. Webb School won the title by 13 shots 295-308 over Rockvale. Rockvale girls won the title by five shots over Providence  Christian 155-`160 after the Lions won the 1913 Invitational at Johnson City by 10 shots over Greeneville. The course was wet and muddy in the morning but the rain finally broke and some good scores were had. The Webb School boys had Phet Phothong score a 69 while Carter  Burks shot 70 following up his 72 in Johnson City on Monday. The girls had Solia Mechling of Rockvale lead the way with a 73 in taking the title as they improved their score by 30 shots over Monday in East Tennessee as they found the homestead Indian Hills to their liking.  Rockvale and Central Magnet will head to the Battle of Hermitage on Wednesday July 31st. On Tuesday Stewarts Creek and Smyrna will do battle at Smyrna Golf Course  with an early tee time of 11 AM. The next day Oakland, Webb and Nolensville will tee off at Champions Run beginning at 9 AM. Eagleville will open on July 29th heading to Lawrenceburg and the Country Club awaiting host Lawrence County and several other teams to tee up the regular season. The season will end in October at Sevierville when state champions will be crowned.
