He's a Mustank  given what  he said on one our threads weeks ago. No true Rebel would ever make such a treacherous claim.

Yea he’s McKenzie…. Really and embarrassment to their fine program.

Expect some to throw excuses around  after games are played but before games  shows a butthurt loser. I respect McKenzie and what they have done the last few years and they sure don’t need this clown.

  This game will be an uphill battle for our wounded Pirates but they will represent the town with class.

South Pitt was good last year. Probably should’ve been in Chatt. Not much of a running threat caught up to them and they got upset by Gordonsville. You could take away the Collins kid and Wallace and it wouldn’t change the fact that they would still be where they are right now. Standing between McKenzie and another Gold Ball. I am just keeping it real

I’m a Carroll Countian.   To be honest, I’m a Mustang and my mustangs need a new coach.  If we had a coach with an offense from the last century, we’d be playing on Saturday.   Do y’all SP folks have any recruiting tips on how to get us a new coach?   I keep up with McKenzie too, gots some fam on the team.  Only reason I keep up with them.  And you think I’m dumb enough to use the same profile for my Mustang and McKenzie comments.  Smile everybody!  Just trying to have a little fun.  I know y’all boys don’t recruit, I’m sure you all play by the rules.  In all seriousness, good luck to both teams.  Two fine programs.

last years 1A Gold Ball Champ is returnin back to Finley for their 3rd in a row...and thinkin 5th or 4th Gold Ball Contest overall......the Rebals have been on a tear since droppin down to 1A....showin up at the big dance every year since doin so....Booger observed McKenzie drop the first one to South Pittsburg in a squeeker

.....the Pirates are no strangers to the Gold Ball contest....attendin Booger thinkin 12 or 11 times....collectin 7 or 6 Gold Balls along the way.....woulda been probably 15 trips and 10 or 8 Gold Balls if it wernt for the Greenbackers.....

....if the skilletheads QB is good....Booger got Pirates by 3 or 2 scores and goin 3 for 3 against them Rebals and takin this 1A Gold Ball back to South Kimbrell and @PirateMike...

.....if Pirates QB is damaged goods....Booger nervous for the skillethead fanbase....thinkin the contest could go either way.... but thinkin reads bout like it did 2 years ago with it still travelin back to South Kimbrell...

      Yep! Now if both teams play at their best (including their supporting cast) then I really don’t know who wins. I might would lean Upperman then because I believe they tend to play better team defense, but since I’ve seen Greeneville play much closer to their best lately than I’ve seen Upperman (outside of Ty Cobb) that is why I believe Greeneville wins today. It will honestly come down to which team plays the best today IMO.

      It will be interesting to see how Greeneville decides to play Cobb. My guess is they face guard try to keep the ball out of hands as much as possible, but that’s nothing new. It’s about time Upperman brings their A game to the dance otherwise it will be game over.

      Couldn’t agree more with you! And most of Greenville’s main players (outside of Thompson) are also football players, from my understanding and from what’s been said throughout the season. I would say the same is true from Greenville’s perspective on Ty Cobb, can’t stop him and just try to slow him down.    That’s why I see it coming down to each teams supporting cast. And it really seems like that should benefit Greeneville with how many shooters and how consistent their shooting has been. I believe Uppermans best chance is to try and get early fouls on Thompson and put him in foul trouble.  now one thing I don’t think many people outside of Upperman fans realize is how good Chaffin is at taking charges. You wouldn’t think a 230 6’4” guy would necessarily be the best at it, but he is good at it. that could play huge in this game if he can get a couple on Thompson

      Haywood is not in Fayette Ware's District or Region next season. They are in Region 7. Top Teams in that region will be Dyersburg, Dyer County, South Gibson, South Side, North Side, Haywood, and Lexington. Really tough Region. Haywood's new District is going to be legit too: Haywood, Obion, Dyersburg, Dyer County, Crockett County and South Gibson. Not a cake walk to the region tournament like they have been the last several years with 4 teams in their district.

      I agree completely with this, and you are right on many counts. However, I deeply love and respect what Barry did! I hated to see him leave at first actually. My response to the coaching is more so how the teams were prepped for the state tournament from last year to this year. I found out that in the 10 days leading up to last years matchup the coach only had them practice….2 of these days…..that makes no sense. I’m not commenting on their coaching outside of that in this discussion as I feel the other areas aren’t as fact related and more potential bias could be brought in the other areas.
