RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season! They very well could go undefeated in regular season. We shall see what happens in postseason. I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past. I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong. It should be a fun season!

I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.

Who vandalized Maryville's Football Field?

Interesting take on blaming the move ins. I’m sure you’re right as far as maryville football goes. But we have the opposite problem in sevierville. We like the status quo now. In the past we hired an outsider from north broadway and it worked out really good for us. Now we promoted the local yokel from fairgarden. Apparently being mediocre gets you a new party deck. Here’s to being average. -
Ya gotta get somebody to bid on it first. Nobody wants it.

It's not just in Maryville that this is happening. -

This is why the turnover on coaches is so high, why would anyone want to deal with any of it in this day? -

Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.

Who vandalized Maryville's Football Field?

What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened. -
Didn’t Dyersburg and Covington beat Westview pretty good last year
